FUNCTIONS
GROUP: Clear Heat  
1. Clears Damp Heat, Clear Heat and resolves Toxicity
INDICATIONS
1. Skin lesions due to Damp Heat or Heat and Toxicity: Skin lesions that are red, itchy, pustular or excudative, irritability, restlessness, poor sleep T- red or normal with white or yellow greasy coating P- slippery which may also be rapid. There may also be fever with mild chills, abdominal distention, diarrhea and flatulence.
APPLICATIONS: Eczema, dermatitis, carbuncle, furuncle.
INGREDIENTS
Atractylodes lancea- 苍术 Cāng zhú Atractylodes rhizome
Sophora flavescens- 苦参 Kǔ shēn-  Yellow Sophora 
Bassia scoparia 地膚子 Dì fū zǐ- Kochia seeds
Smilax glabra- 土茯苓 Tǔ fú líng- Smooth Greenbrier- Smilax
Dictamnus dasycarpus- 白藓皮 Bái xiān pí- Dittany Bark
Chrysanthemum indicum- 野菊花 Yě jú huā- Wild chrysanthemum flowers
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Yin deficiency
COMMENTS : As this condition usually involved a deficiency of the Spleen and the retention of Dampness, it is important to treat this after the skin lesions have been resolved.
