FUNCTIONS
GROUP: Laxative- Purgative
 1. Regulates the Qi in the Middle Jiao, tonifies the Qi, promotes bowel movement.
INDICATIONS
1. Qi deficiency and Qi Stagnation: Abdominal distension with sensation of fullness, belching, poor appetite, fatigue, weakness, pale complexion, flatulence, abdominal bloating due to build up of gas (meteorism), constipation. T- thick or white greasy coat. P- slippery or wiry.
APPLICATIONS: Constipation, indigestion.
INGREDIENTS
Panax ginseng  人參   Rén shēn- Asiatic Ginseng
Rheum tanguticum- 大黄 Dà huáng- Rhubarb
Atractylodes macrocephala 白术 Bái zhú- White Atractylodes
Scutellaria baicalensis- 黄芩 Huáng Qín- Baical Scullcap root
Aquilaria sinensis- 沉香 Chén xiāng- Agarwood
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Yin deficiency.
COMMENTS : The main ingredients are Ginseng and Rhubarb. Ginseng is a tonic for Qi and Rhubarb is herbal laxative.
