FUNCTIONS
GROUP: Harmonize Liver and Spleen, Qi Regulating 
1. Spreads the Liver Qi and quickens the Blood to alleviate pain.
INDICATIONS
1. Stagnation of Liver Qi:
period pain, irregular or early menstrual period, intercostal pain, abdominal distension, discomfort of chest and hypochondria aggravated by emotions, poor appetite, restlessness, mental depression, belching, irritability, indigestion, breast distension or pain, loose stools or constipation. T- thin white coat. P wiry or slippery pulse.
APPLICATIONS: Dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, breast distension, mastitis, hypchondrial pain, cholecystitis, pleurisy.

Bupleurum chinensis- 柴胡 Chái húBupleurum root
Glycyrrhiza uralensis- 甘草 Gān cǎo-  Chinese licorice
Paeonia lactiflora- 白芍 Bái sháo- White peony root
Citrus aurantium- 枳壳 Zhǐ ké - Citrus aurantium- Ripe fruit of Bitter orange
Citrus tangerina- 陳皮 Chén pí- Aged Tangerine skin
Ligusticum chuanxiong川芎 Chuān xiōng- Szechuan lovage root, Cnidium
Cyperus rotundus- 香附 Xiāng fù- Cyperus
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Cold and Heat Syndromes, severe Yin and Blood Deficiency.
