ACTIONS: Clear Heat, drains Dampness and promotes diuresis.
INDICATIONS
1. Heat attacking the Heart channel: feverish sensation over the chest, red cheeks, thirst with inclination for drinking cold, mouth ulcers T- red with a thin yellow coat.
2. Heat from the Heart attacking Small Intestine Channel: oliguria, dysuria, dark and scanty urination. T- red with thin yellow coat P- rapid.
3. Damage of Yin Fluid: fever, irritability, thirst, oliguria. T- red P- rapid.
APPLICATIONS: Thrush, stomatitis, acute urinary tract and bladder infections, frequent nightmares.
INGREDIENTS
Akebia trifoliata 白木通 Bai mù tōng- Trifoliate Akebia
Rehmannia glutinosa- 生地黃 Shēng dì huáng- Fresh Rehmannia
Glycyrrhiza uralensis- 甘草 Gān cǎo-  Chinese Licorice
Lophatherum gracile- 淡竹叶 Dàn Zhú Yè- Bamboo Grass
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Cold Syndromes and Qi Deficiency.
COMMENTS: This formula may be used for either Excess or Deficiency patterns when combined with the appropriate formula.
