Liv 2 Jingjian **
ATTRIBUTES: Ying-Spring Point.
FUNCTIONS: Eliminate Fire from Liver, remove stagnation of
Qi, clear the lower Jiao. Stronger than Taichong to subdue Liver Fire.
INDICATIONS
1.Seizures. Convulsion. Insomnia.
2. Mennorhhagia. Urethralgia. Enuresis. Retention of urine.
3. Redness swelling and pain of the eye. Blurring of vision.
4. Hernia. Pain in the hypchondriac region.
5. Deviation of mouth. Headache.
LOCATION: Between the 1st and 2nd toe, proximal to the
margin of the web.
METHOD: Obliquely 0.5 inch (Ess).
Liv 3 Taichong **
ATTRIBUTES: Shu-Stream and Yuan- Source.
FUNCTIONS: Soothe Liver and Gall Bladder, regulate the circulation
of Qi and Blood. Sedative- to stop pain. Clear Jingluo.
INDICATIONS
1. Headache.. Pain in the anterior aspect of the medial malleolus.
Deviation of mouth. Soreness of joints of extremities.
2. Vertigo.. Infantile convulsion. Seizures.
3. Insomnia..
4. Uterine bleeding. Enuresis. Retention of urine. Mastitis. Irregular
menstruation.

and 2nd matatarsal bones.

ATTRIBUTES: Jing- River Point.
FUNCTIONS: Spreads the Liver Qi, clears Jingluo.
INDICATIONS
1. Pain in the external genitalia.. Seminal emission. Retention
of urine. Ischuria. Nocturnal emissions.
2. Hernia.. Lower abdominal pain.
3. Hepatitis.
4. Diseases of the ankle and surrounding soft tissues.
LOCATION: 1 cun anterior to the medial malleolus, midway between Shangqiu-
Sp 5 and Jiexi- St 41, in the depression on the medial side of the tendon of
tibialis anterior.
METHOD: Perp 0.3-0.5 inch (Ess).
Liv 5 Ligou **
ATTRIBUTES: Luo- Connecting.
FUNCTIONS: Spreads Liver Qi.Combined with Zhongji- CV 3,
reduces the Fire of the Liver. Eliminates Damp-Heat from genitals.
Benefits Qi. Clears Jingluo.
INDICATIONS:
1. Irregular menstruation.. Dysuria. Endometritis. Retention of
urine. Orchitis. Sexual dysfunction.

LOCATION: 5 cun above the tip of the medial malleolus, on the
medial aspect and near the medial border of the tibia.
METHOD: 0.3-0.5 inch perp. or slanted up or down along the posterior
border of the tibia. (Ess).
Liv 8 Ququan**
ATTRIBUTES: He- Sea Point.
FUNCTIONS: Dispel Damp-Heat, clear lower jiao, relaxes tendons
and muscle channels. Benefits the Bladder.
INDICATIONS:
1. Prolapse of uterus.. Dysuria. Pruritus vulvae. Seminal emission.
Pain in the external genitalia. Vaginitis. Prostitis. Nephritis. Nocturnal
emissions. Impotence.
2. Pain in the knee and medial aspect of thigh..

4. Lower abdominal pain. Hernia.
LOCATION: On the medial side of the knee joint. When the knee is
flexed, the point is above the medial end of the transverse popliteal
crease, posterior to the medial condyle of the tibia, on the anterior border
of the insertion of semimembranosus and semitendinosus.

Liv 13 Zhangmen**
ATTRIBUTES: Front- Mu point of the Spleen.
FUNCTIONS: Promote the function of the Li, regulate circulation
of Qi and Xue, relieve retention of food, help the transformation
and transportation function of the Spleen.
INDICATIONS:
1. Vomiting.. Abdominal distension.. Diarrhea. Indigestion. Enteritis.
2. Pain in the dorso-lumbar, hypochondriac and costal regions. Pain in
the chest and ribs.
3. Enlargemement of the liver and spleen. Hepatitis.
LOCATION: On the lateral side of the abdomen, below the free end
of the 11th floating rib.
METHOD: Perp 0.8-1 inch (Ess).

Liv 14 Qimen**
ATTRIBUTES: Front- Mu point of the Liver.
FUNCTIONS: Promote the function of Liver and GB,
relieve retention of food, regulate the circulation of Qi and Xue.
Removes stagnant Xue.
INDICATIONS
1. Abdominal distension. Vomiting. Nervous dysfunction of the stomach.
2. Hepatitis. Enlarged liver. Cholecystitis.
3. Pain in the chest and hypochondriac region. Intercostal neuralgia.
4. Fullness of the chest. Hiccup.
5. Pleurisy.
LOCATION: On the mammillary line, two ribs below the nipple, in
the 6th intercostal space.

INDICATIONS
1. Abnormal uterine bleeding..

LOCATION: 7 cun above the tip of the medial malleolus, or 2 cun
above Ligou- Liv 5, on the medial aspect and near the medial border of
the tibia.
METHOD: 0.3-0.5 inch horizontally along the skin (Ess).
Liv 7 Xiguan*
INDICATIONS
1. Pain in the medial aspect of the knee. Strong recurrent headache.
Arthritis of the knee.
LOCATION: Posterior and inferior to the medial condyle of the
tibia, in the upper portion of the medial head of gastrocnemius, 1 cun posterior
to Yinlingquan- Sp 9.
METHOD: Perp 0.4-0.6 inch (Ess).
Liv 9 Yinbao*
INDICATIONS
1. Irregular menstruation.. Dysuria. Enuresis. Retention of urine.
2. Pain in the lumbosacral region referring to the lower abdomen. Low back
pain.
LOCATION: 4 cun above the medial epicondyle of the femus, between
vastus medialis and sartorius.
METHOD: Perp 0.6-0.7 inch (Ess).
Liv 10 Femur-Wuli *
INDICATIONS
1. Retention of urine.. Incontinence.
2. Lower abdominal distension.
3. Pain on medial side of thigh.
4. Eczema of scrotum.
5. Lassitude.
LOCATION: 3 cun below Qichong- St 30, on the lateral border
of abductor longus. 2 cun accross from pubic bone, 3 cun down.

Li 11 Yinlian*
INDICATIONS
1. Pain in the thigh and leg.. Pain of hernia.
2. Irregular menstruation..
LOCATION: 2 cun below Qichong- St 30, on the lateral border
of abductor longus.
METHOD: Perp 0.5-1 inch (Ess).
Liv 12 Jimai*
INDICATIONS
1. Hernia..
2. Pain in the external genitalia. Prolapsed uterus. Penial pain.
LOCATION: Inferior and lateral to the pubic spine, 2.5 cun lateral
to the Ren Channel, at the inguinal groove lateral and inferior to Qichong-
St 30.
METHOD: Apply a moxa stick for 3-5 min (Ess).
