Primary Points

Bl 1 Jingming**
FUNCTIONS: Dispel Wind, eliminate Heat, clears Jingluo, brightens eyes.
INDICATIONS
1. Redness, swelling and pain of the eye. Lacrimation when attacked by wind. Itching of the canthus. Night blindness.. Colour blindness.. Acute and chronic conjunctivitis. Myopia. Hypermetropia.  Astigmatism. Atrophy of the optic nerve. Optic neuritis. Inflammation of the ora serrata. Glaucoma.
Early stages of cataract. Keratoleukoma. Pterygium.
LOCATION: 0.1 cun superior to the inner canthus. Ask the patent to close the eyes when locating the point.
METHOD:  Perp 0.3 inch along the orbital wall. If is not advisable to twist or lift and thrust the needle vigorously (Ess).

Bl 2 Zanzhu**
FUNCTIONS: Dispel Wind, brightens eyes, soothe the Liver. To stop pain and invigorate the channels.
INDICATIONS
1. Blurring and failing of vision. Lacrimation in face of wind. Redness, swelling and pain of the eye.  Twitching of eyelids.. Myopia. Acute conjunctivitis. Keratoleukoma. Excessive lacrimation.
2. Headache.. Pain in the supra orbital region. Facial paralysis.
LOCATION: Directly above the medial extremity of the eyebrow, 0.5 cun within the
anterior hairline, between Shentin Du 24 and Quchai UB 4.
METHOD: 0.3-0.5 inch lorizontally along the skin with the needle directed upward (Ess).

Bl 7 Tongtian**
FUNCTIONS: Much used for migraine. Eliminates Wind from upper part of body.
1. Headache.. Dizziness.
2. Nasal obstruction. Epistaxis. Rhinorrhea..
LOCATION: 1.5 cun posterior to Chengguang- UB 6, 1.5 cun lateral to the Du Channel.
METHOD: 0.3-0.5 inch horizontally along the skin (Ess).

Bl 10 Tianzhu**
FUNCTIONS: Dispel Wind and invigorate channels. Brightens the eyes. Also used for lower backache.
INDICATIONS
1. Headache. Neck rigidity. Pain in the shoulder and back. Occipital headache. Stiffness and soreness in the back of the neck.
2. Nasal obstruction. Pharyngitis.
3. Neurasthenia. Hysteria.
LOCATION: 1.3 cun lateral to Yamen- Du 15, within the posterior hairline, on the lateral side of the trapezius muscle.
METHOD: Perp 0.5 inch (Ess).

Bl 11 Dashu**
FUNCTIONS: Generalised arthritis with deformity. To treat Wandering Bi.
INDICATIONS
1. Headache. Aching of the scapular region. Stiffness and rigidity of the neck. Neck and back pain.  Arthritis. Numbness in the limbs.
2. Cough. Common cold. Bronchitis. Pneumonia.. Pleurisy.
3. Fever. Tuberculosis of the bones.

FUNCTIONS: Strengthen the dispersing function of the Lung, regulate circulation of Qi, eliminate Wind, relieve exterior symptoms.
INDICATIONS

2. Headache. Neck rigidity. Backache. Shoulder sprain.
3. Urticaria.

Bl 13 Feishu**

FUNCTIONS: Relax tendons, clears Jingluo, strengthen lower back and knees, clear Heat from Xue.   Dispels Summer-Heat (bled). Abdominal pain, vomiting diarrhoea. Acute lumbago.
INDICATIONS
1. Low back pain.. Motor impairment of the hip joint. contractrue of the tendons in the popliteal fossa. Muscular atrophy. Motor impairment and pain of the lower extremities. Hemiplegia. Sciatica. Arthritis of the knee. Paralysis of leg . Spasm of the gastrocnemius muscle.
2. Abdominal pain. Vomiting and diarrhea. Acute gastroenteritis.
3. Heat exhaustion.
LOCATION: Midpoint of the transverse crease of the popliteal fossa, between the
tendons of bicepts femoris and semitendinosus. Locate the point in prone
position of with flexed knee.

Bl 43 (Bl38) Gaohuangshu **
FUNCTIONS  Regulates the Lu Qi and strengthens Xu conditions.
INDICATIONS
1. Pulmonary tuberculosis.. Cough. Hemoptysis. Bronchitis. Pleurisy.
2. Poor memory. Neurasthenia.
3. Night sweating. General weakness caused by prolonged illness.

Bl 52  (Bl47)  Zhishi**
INDICATIONS
1. Seminal emission. Impotence.. Dysuria..Nephritis. Spermatorrhea. Prostatitis.

3. Edema.. Eczema of the scrotum.

finger breadths lateral to the hiatus of the sacrum.

Bl 57 Chengshan**
FUNCTIONS Relax tendons, clears Jingluo, promote function of treat hemorrhoids. Regulates Qi in the Fu.
INDICATIONS
GIT  Hemorrhoids (Ess), constipation (Ess), prolapsed anus (Sha)
PAIN/LOM  Low back pain (Ess,Sha), spasm of the gastrocnemius muscle (Ess,Sha),
leg pain (Sha), sciatica (Sha), paralysis of leg (Sha)
LOC Directly below the belly of the gastrocnemius muscle, on the line
connecting Weizhong (UB 40) and tendo calcaneus, about 8 cun below Weizhong

INDICATIONS
1. Headache.. Neck rigidity.. Spasm and pain of the shoulder and arm. Backache. Pain in the heel. Low back pain.
Sciatica. Paralysis of lower limb. Diseases of the ankle joint and surrounding soft tissues.
